The steps I included in this guide will become a valuable addition to your network marketing toolkit.
I can guarantee that because the invitation strategies on this list are among the things taught by Eric Worre, the MLM legend himself in his international best selling book for network marketers, “Go Pro – 7 Steps to Becoming a Network Marketing Professional”.
This book is one of my personal 5 Best Network Marketing Training Programs in the 21st century.
Why Bother Reading This?
The traditional invitation techniques that you will learn in this article, adequately implemented in addition to the skills you have learned on how to become a good network marketer and, other network marketing training programs will put you among the most exceptional entrepreneurs in this industry.
Let’s begin by taking a closer look at the importance of proper invitation and prospecting.
Why should you Learn the Art of Invitation?
Many network marketers in the history of network marketing have found it hard to sponsor new people. That’s the oldest issue that you has to overcome if you want to succeed in this business.
Don’t you hate it when…
You are running out of your breath trying to explain something to a person, but they couldn’t be more interested?
Such a problem exists because many network marketers do not even know how to issue a proper invitation to their prospects.
They do not have the skills on how to put themselves in a position where people would listen to every word that comes from their mouth.
But the even bigger problem is that most network marketers are not even aware of this.
This is the sad reality among network marketers.
This was also one of my many mistakes when I was starting in network marketing a few years ago.
I honestly thought that I already know everything and I close the doors to new learning. I could have never been more wrong.
So for this article…
I request that you keep an open mind. I promise that once you are through reading this, you will learn how to be able to invite people into your business with ease.
Do not worry. If you have any questions about any of the traditional invitation steps in this article, you can let me know in the comment section below.
Another important note.
The traditional invitation steps I am going to share with you today can work for both warm market and cold market prospects. However…
These can only be useful when you are inviting someone over the phone or while talking to them face to face.
I do not recommend that you use this for non-verbal invitations – only while inviting people over the phone or face to face. Okay?
Now that we have these things clear…
Let’s get into Eric Worre’s “proven and tested” step by step process on how to invite people into your network marketing business, the traditional way.

Invite People to Your Business Like a Pro
#1 Use the Power of Urgency
Psychological studies show that most people tend to become more interested in the things said by someone who is in a hurry or, has some other things to attend.
Imagine yourself being approached by a family or friend who looks very occupied but they make a little time so that they can talk to you about something. Wouldn’t you feel obliged to listen to them?
You can use the same technique when inviting a prospect into your network marketing business.
As you start your conversation, make sure to give the impression that you are in a hurry. Make it look that despite your busy schedule, you are willing to make time to talk to him/her about something significant.
#2 Start “each” Conversation Properly
Depending on which category your prospect belongs (warm or cold market), make sure that you start your conversation correctly.
If it is someone you already know (warm market), you can begin by a simple compliment about his life and career.
If it is someone you didn’t know (cold market), you can start the conversation by admiring the person’s appearance, how sharp he/she looks, etc.
There are many ways to do this, and it all depends on the person you are talking to. Just keep in mind that your goal is to make the person feel appreciated and be sincere. Surely you can find something good in a person.
#3 The Proper Invitation
After steps 1 and 2, you can proceed to make the invitation. There are 3 ways you can play this which are:
The Direct Approach – Declare out front that you are inviting the person to learn more about your network marketing business. That you think it is really a good and promising business opportunity for both of you.
The Indirect Approach – You can play this approach as if asking for guidance or advice. You tell your prospect that you found a business opportunity that you are interested in and that you want his/her honest opinion about it.
The Super Indirect Approach – On this approach, you will be treating your prospect as if they are not “the prospect.”
You will say something like you are currently looking for someone who could benefit from an excellent network marketing business opportunity, and you will be asking for his/her help to find such individuals.
Chances are they will be interested in what you are talking about and would ask questions. Then you can proceed to invite them to your business presentation.
#4 The Question
This step is a very powerful one and a trade secret that has been exploited by the top network marketers in the past years.
This involves asking a specific question to your prospect – the “If I, Would You” question.
This step will allow you to give value and get value from your prospect and there is an almost 100% chance that they will say YES.
Two examples of how you could use the “If I, Would You” question to your prospect (granted that you have completed the steps 1,2 and 3) are:
- “IF I would show you our website, WOULD YOU check it out?”;
- “IF I would provide you a video presentation about our business, WOULD YOU watch it?”;
- or “IF I would take you to one of our business presentations, WOULD YOU listen and keep an open mind?”.
By doing this, you are not begging your prospects.
You also make it appear that what you have is something of value and that they need to reciprocate that value as well (by saying YES) if they want to get their hands on the thing that you have.

#5 Get a Time Commitment
After your prospect had said YES to your “If I, Would You” question, the next step will be to get a time commitment from them.
You can do this by asking a follow-up question like when will they be able to visit your website or watch your video presentation or better, when will they go with you to your business presentation.
Do not suggest the time for them!
Let them decide for themselves. Allow them to get the chance to think about their prior schedules and commitments so that it will not appear that you are forcing them.
#6 Verify the Time Commitment
Once your prospect has provided you with their preferred time commitment, you can then proceed to verify that schedule by asking a follow-up question.
For example, if your prospect says that he/she will visit your website or watch your video on Monday morning, you can verify this by asking him if it would be alright to talk to him again on Monday afternoon.
Or if the prospect says that he/she will attend your business event on Monday night, you can ask him/her if it is alright to pick him/her up an hour before the event.
This is one of the beauties of step #5.
By letting them decide their time commitment, you are making them responsible for it, and it is most unlikely that they will get annoyed when you proceed to follow up on the schedule that they have provided themselves.
#7 Schedule and Confirm the Time of your Follow-up
After step #5 and #6, you can now go ahead and confirm what time you are going to talk or meet with your prospect again.
Chances are, your prospects might adjust the time of your appointment or stick to it. Regardless of the two, the important thing is now you already have a legit appointment with your prospect.
#8 Leave/Hang the Phone
Immediately after step #7, say a short goodbye and hang up the phone (or leave if you are talking face to face with your prospect).
Remember step #1, you are busy, and there is something you have to do. Do not make the mistake of dragging the conversation more than necessary.
Stick with your “script” and be consistent with it. Just take note of your new scheduled appointment and find another prospect. Rinse and repeat.
One more thing…
Follow up on time. Not early, not late. On time.

Remember that if you are new to these steps on how to invite people into your network marketing business the traditional way…
You cannot expect things to turn out as you expected all the time.
There is a learning curve that you must go in to. If things do not turn out how you wanted it to be the first time, do not be discouraged. Evaluate what went wrong, retrace your steps (pun intended) and start steps 1-8 again.
Just keep on doing these steps accordingly until you get the hang of it. Be patient, and you will get there.

The Sad Reality about Traditional Prospecting
I am not against using the old methods of prospecting and inviting people into your business using the traditional way.
I was actively using it too when I was in the early years of my network marketing career.
However, I am often disappointed by my results.
The reality about inviting people the traditional way is you have to do it personally, either face to face or over the phone. It is a very arduous activity, and there is no way around it.
At best, I can only talk to about 10-15 people a day.
I will also never forget that one time, I got ill (with flu) and I wasn’t able to invite people for 4 straight days. That was approximately 40-60 new prospects that I missed.
It was during that time that I realize that I must be missing something.
So I decided to begin searching for a more efficient way on how to invite people to my business.
I was still doing the traditional prospecting during the day.
But as I get home, I would stay late at night and scour the internet for training programs and network marketing prospecting techniques…
Hoping that I would find one that will provide me the solution I was looking for.
The Turning Point of My Network Marketing Career
A few weeks later, I saw a social media post from a certain someone (a network marketer like you and me).
In his post, he claims that he managed to sponsor 1000+ new people to his business within a month.
Yes, that’s not a typo. This guy says he sponsored more than 1000 people in a month!!
I was very intrigued, so I decided to read his entire post, eager to learn his secret.
As it turns out…
This guy was able to accomplish such a feat by using a network marketing training program. He even added that this training program allowed him to invite new people into his business and even generate sales while he was away!
I was mind blown. How could even this be possible? Could this be the answer to my dilemma?
Your Success in Network Marketing is on Your Actions!
Upon learning these new things, I decided to take action. I message the guy and humbly ask him if he could share the secret to his network marketing success with me.
Much to my surprise, he was more than accommodating, and he told me everything I wanted to know about the program he was talking about.
I was utterly mesmerized how amazing this training program is. I have never thought something like this is available for network marketers.
To cut the story short, I decided to subscribe to the training program, and it was the best thing that ever happened to my network marketing business.
Within just the first week after getting started with this program…
I already manage to invite more than enough people to look into my business. The number was more than I can ever get with the traditional invitation.
You want to know what the best part about it?
I didn’t even need to talk to any of these people face to face or over the phone. It was astounding!
I managed to get prospects even during the time I am asleep and also as I was out with my son feeding pandas in the zoo!!
One more thing I love about this network marketing training program is that anyone can get started for free, just like I did at the start.
But the moment I witness the overwhelmingly positive results in my business because of this program has, I wasted no time and decided to subscribe with the premium membership.
