Call Center QA presents itself as a company based in Boston, Massachusetts that works with organizations across the United States to improve the quality and performance of call centers.
Anyone who is at least 18 years old can join and become a member of Call Center QA - for free.
As a member or "telephone mystery shopper," you will be tasked to "pretend" as a prospective client.
But instead of asking you to test some products or services, you'll be calling various call centers and provide an evaluation of their agents' performance.
I know how this opportunity can look very appealing since you'll need no experience, degree, or specific skills to qualify.
You are also free to work whenever you want to earn an income while staying at home.
That being said, can you really make money with Call Center QA?
How much can you earn as a Call Center QA Telephone mystery shopper?
On the Call Center QA website, the company claims that you will be paid $5 to complete a telephone mystery shop along with a brief online feedback form.
The company added that each call only takes about 5-10 minutes, and filling out the feedback form only takes a few minutes.
Once you completed a task, Call Center QA claims that you can request payout within seven business days or less.
So, if we assume that you can complete one task within 20 minutes, then it safe to say that you'll earn at least $15 an hour with Call Center QA.
Not bad, right? Well, hold that thought for a moment.
Because as amazing as that sounds, here are the crucial things about Call Center QA that might discourage you from joining this company.
To be honest, I think it might not be worthy of your time and effort and here's why...
Ugly Truths about Call Center QA
1. There aren't many tasks available
In one of the Call Center QA reviews on YouTube, one member claims that you only get 1-2 tasks per day.
She then added that there might or might not be available calls for you every day, which makes your income in this opportunity very unreliable.
As a matter of fact, Call Center QA also made it clear that they "do not have an unlimited list of mystery shops," which, if I understand correctly, the amount of task for you is limited.
Now, I know how this might not be a big deal to you since you're only expecting to make a part-time income from this company anyways.
But it didn't end there.
2. No info on the owner
Unlike the most trusted mystery shopping companies out there, Call Center QA lacks transparency on who are the people behind its operation.
I don't know about you, but I always have an issue on companies and opportunities that claims to help you make money, but the owners don't reveal themselves.
I understand that some people value their privacy more than others.
But if you think about it, if Call Center QA is truly an excellent income opportunity that helps the average Jane and Joe make an extra couple of bucks from home…
Shouldn't the owners be proud of it? Why hide in anonymity? I'll let you decide what to think about this matter.
However, the lack of transparency about the people behind Call Center QA got me a little suspicious about its legitimacy.

3. "Non-existent" employees
On the Call Center QA's LinkedIn profile, it says that it only has 1-10 employees. Now, I understand that it probably is a small company, so a small staff makes sense.
But when I take a look at the so-called Call Center QA "employees," they appear to be not actual employees but are the people who joined to become mystery callers.
As you can see in the image above, one profile says "secret caller at CallCenterQA." Another one says "recruiter," and the other profile says "work at home mom."
Therefore, it's safe to assume that these people aren't actual employees of Call Center QA, but are the company's telephone mystery shoppers.
So, how many employees does this company really have?
I don't know how much faith you have in the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
But when I checked, the site declared that this company, Call Center QA only has but a single employee.
Now a single person owning a business isn't a big deal.
But for a company that claims to be made of a "team of dedicated professionals experienced in call center quality assurance, performance, and analysis," this is certainly odd.

4. Inactive Facebook Page
These days, you can tell a lot about the status of a company based on its social media presence.
And while Call Center QA has a Facebook page, it appears to be inactive.
The last posts date back to 2014, and some people seem to have messaged the company but didn't get any form of response.
It also appears that the company has no Twitter page, or at least not that I know of.
With this kind of social media presence, it's not crazy to think that this company might not be operating anymore, and you might be planning to join a little too late already.
But even if this company is still providing its services, I guess we can all agree that it's not very popular, or else people would be talking all about it on the Internet.
Now, these are again my own opinions, and I could also be wrong. I'm just putting it out there.
5. Negative Call Center QA reviews
Perhaps my biggest concern about Call Center QA is the negative reviews it received from people who claim to join this opportunity.
While its tough to find a review for Call Center QA on the Internet, what surprises me is that the ones you do find are mostly negative.
Based on the Call Center QA reviews I found, three are saying the same thing. That it is a phishing scam where your info will be sold to third parties.
The company "allegedly" is using the information you provided them when you join and use it to make money for themselves rather than helping you make money.
I don't know about you, but I would be worried about spending my time and effort in a company that has this kind of bad rap in hopes of making a few bucks.
6. Not a member of MSPA
Call Center QA is not a member of MPSA, and this company is not vetted by any authority.
The MSPA or Mystery Shopping Professionals Association provides an added layer of security for aspiring mystery shoppers because there are strict criteria to obtain an MSPA membership.
While it doesn't necessarily mean that MPSA member companies are excellent sources of income for mystery shoppers…
At least you get some semblance of guarantee that you'll be joining a legitimate company and not a scam.
Which begs the question...
Is Call Center QA a Scam?
As far as legitimacy goes, I don't have enough proof to tag Call Center QA an outright scam.
It is free to join this company, and to be fair, I found a few people online who claim to have made a few bucks with it.
That being said, I cannot recommend that you spend your time on Call Center QA if you want to earn an additional income.
Considering all the things I've shared above, I believe there are far better ways to make money from home than being a telephone mystery shopper.
My Sincere Advice
There are too many red flags about Call Center QA that it may not be worthy of your time and effort.
Nevertheless, the final decision whether you join this company or not is in your hands.
But if at this moment you've realized that you don't want to get involved in this company, but you're still trying to find a way to generate an income from home…
