How Does Harris Poll Works?

After completing the Free signup with Harris Poll, you will then begin to receive email invites from participating in their surveys.

Most of these surveys can be completed within 5-30 minutes and they deal with common survey topics such as politics, movies, music, shopping habits, and fashion.

Although, do not be surprised if every once in a while, you get survey invites to sensitive topics that are not usually touched by other GPT sites such as religion and ethics.

Every time you complete a survey, you will be rewarded with points that you can redeem later on.

IMPORTANT:You might get disqualified for some surveys, and some very short surveys might not reward you any points at all.

Getting Started with Harris Poll

To get started with Harris Poll, you have to make sure that you are at least 13 years of age and resides in the United States or Canada.

On the sign-up form, you will be required to provide your personal information, contact number, and demographics; among others.

You will then be asked to confirm your email address and hereafter, you will then have access to the Harris Poll website and will start receiving survey invitations.

Please take note that your account password will be provided to you by Harris Poll themselves, so you have to make sure to remember it and keep it stored in your records.

How Much Can You Earn?

On this part of my Harris Poll review, allow me to discuss how much you can earn and how you can get paid with Harris Poll.

Every time you complete a Harris Poll survey, you earn points which then you can redeem and exchange for gift cards and vouchers (with a maximum value of $10) from Starbucks, Amazon, iTunes, Home Depot, Walmart and others – including magazine subscriptions.

One important thing I must point out is that each survey comes with different point values and that you will only be able to find out how much points a specific survey rewards right after you completed it.

Each survey usually has a value between 75-150 points (officially called HIpoints) per completion and you need to accumulate 1250 points to qualify for a “payment.”

It is crucial to understand that Harris Poll does not pay you real CASH as payment for participating in their surveys.

You will get e-cards and gift vouchers instead, unlike other popular GPT sites such as PrizeRebel that pays real cash.

It is also important to note that sometimes…

Although you get an invitation to a survey by Harris Poll, you might be disappointed to find out that for some reasons, you are disqualified from participating in it later on.

However, one thing I like about them (Harris Poll) is the fact that even though you got disqualified for a survey, you will still be compensated with 15 HIpoints (some short surveys not included).

Is there a Limit to the Number of Surveys you can take?

Unfortunately, base on the experiences of other members, you can only expect to be invited to 3-5 surveys in a month.

Now with this rate, if you do the Math, it would take at least 2-3 months before you can rack up the 1250 HIpoints necessary to get “paid”…

Which translates merely to a $10 worth of “non-cash” compensation.

Not to mention the fact that you might be disqualified from other surveys or would not earn HIpoints in others.

THERE’S MORE…One of the reasons why this GPT site became popular among its users is because it offers to give away $10,000 to one lucky winner every quarter in its Harris Poll Online Sweepstakes.

Yes, that’s Ten Thousand US Dollars.

Remember those surveys where you might get disqualified or might not be rewarded with any points?

Every time you get disqualified or participated in one of those short surveys that did not award any points…

You get an entry to the HP Sweepstakes, and you get a chance to win that $10,000! (Yay!)

But, don’t bang your hopes on that.

Different Ways to Earn Points with Harris Poll

Other than online surveys, you can also gain HIpoints by participating in focus groups and telephone surveys.

Harris Poll Surveys

These are the standard site surveys which you can complete within 5-30 minutes.

Popular topics include groceries and shopping habits, consumer products, music and movies, fashion and others.

As I have mentioned above, there are also surveys that discuss ethics, religion, and politics.

Update:

Harris Poll has a mobile app version now too (available for iOS and Android), so you can easily get notifications once new surveys are available for you.

Focus Groups

You can also earn points by joining other members of Harris Poll in a center and discuss topics on details.

This event requires your actual presence, demands more time dedication, but the compensation is significantly better.

Focus groups usually discuss products that haven’t been released to the public yet…

And, a specific payment will be immediately given to the participants at the end.

Telephone Surveys

Harris Poll telephone surveys are as what it sounds.

Someone will call you on the number that you provided and ask you some questions.

Instead of just ticking boxes or answering Yes or No, you can voice out your opinion and personal thoughts during telephone surveys.

How to Redeem Your HIpoints?

On this point of this Harris Poll review, you probably already know that this platform pays via gift cards and vouchers.

They don’t pay cash via Paypal or check as other survey companies such as Swagbucks, Survey Junkie, and PrizeRebel do.

Most members can accumulate 1250 HIpoints after completing around 9-12 surveys (approx. 2-3 months).

Once you manage to get 1250 HIpoints, you will be qualified to redeem your HIpoints for e-cards, gift certificates and vouchers from:

  • Amazon
  • ESPN
  • Home Depot
  • iTunes
  • Magazines
  • Starbucks
  • Walmart

You can also redeem merchandise using your HIpoints, or you can donate your saved points to charities.

Base on different member’s experiences, it takes 15 business days for Harris Poll to process your rewards.

If you choose to redeem physical merchandise, the delivery period for the item usually takes 7-14 days via USPS.

The shipping, as well as the handling of your merchandise, will be shouldered by Harris Poll.

The Truth About Harris Poll

While Harris Poll is an honest and legit website, the fact remains that you cannot consider it to be a reliable source of income if you are planning to make money online.

Below are the Pros and Cons of Harris Poll.

  • On time payments (mostly)
  • Requires Zero Investment to start
