Energy bills and the cost of electricity is a constant financial drain for most of us.
And, we’d probably all jumpa at the chance to lower our monthly energy bills.
Stream Energy is a company that promises to do just that.
I'm sure you are here because someone from Stream Energy has approached you...
And, you think that this could be the answer to lower your bills.
You'd probably also heard that you can earn money while saving on your bills.
This all sounds like a wonderful opportunity.
But, there have been some dark clouds on the horizon, which I will share more with you in this Stream Energy Review.
So, let's first answer the elephant in the room, "is Stream Energy a Scam"?
The straightforward answer is NO!
It is a legitimate company offering a valid service...
But, there are more to it.
If the company is that great, there wouldn't be so many people calling it a pyramid scheme or a scam, right?
So today, we will discuss more about this business opportunity and the main reasons why people are calling Stream Energy a pyramid scheme...
Why so many people claimed that Stream Energy is a Scam?
Many of the issues customers have boils down to one thing: overaggressive or unscrupulous distributors.
Stream Energy’s model for gaining new customers is to rely on recruiting new distributors.
Distributors have the financial incentive to reel in more customers as well as recruiting new distributors.
If a distributor is honest and careful, he or she will bring in people who will benefit from Stream.
Unfortunately, not all distributors are so reputable.
Stream Energy won’t save every customer money, that's for sure.
And, the customer satisfaction relies heavily on the distributor.
Honest and Reliable Distributors will...
Ensure that their customers knows what they are getting into.
For example, when selling a service, the distributor will go through every pertinent fine print with the customer to let them know what they are getting into.
And, the risk involved when selecting a variable pricing plan.
But, the fact is, honesty and reliability doesn't earn distributors much money.
Basically, when you pay more for your service bills, the distributor earns more, and therefore, most distributors opt to promote only the variable plans.
And, that's where everything goes wrong.
Customers aren't aware that they could be charged a lot more for their bills if they are on the variable plans.
And, that's why a class action lawsuit1 was filed.
Is Stream Energy a Pyramid Scheme?
Because of the nature of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), many people jump straight to the conclusion that Stream Energy is a pyramid scheme.
Here’s what a pyramid scheme really is as defined by the Federal Trade Commission:
When it comes to Stream Energy, my opinion is that it is far from what many claimed as a pyramid scheme.
A pyramid scheme involves people at the top taking money from people below them.
Superficially, you can see why so many people purport to their claims.
Here’s the difference, a pyramid scheme offer products or services with little to no retail value.
The only way to make money is to recruit new people who pay into the scheme.
So, Stream Energy is far from a pyramid scheme mainly because the company offers services that can be sold to customers who are non distributors.

Thinking of Joining Stream Energy as an Associate? Read this first...
The idea of creating a network of distributors under yourself generating passive income is extremely tempting.
But, you should understand that it’s not an easy task.
The sad fact is that more than 95% of the associates do not earn a significant income with this business opportunity.
This is not a made up statistic, just check this out…
Focusing on the “Average Annual Income” column, you can see that the people who are earning a significant amount of money attains the rank of Executive Director and above.
Which is only 0.11% of all distributors in the Stream Energy sales force.
I’ll share more about the common reasons why people don’t succeed as a Stream associate below.
Finding an Endless Stream of Prospects
This is probably one of the biggest challenges any Stream associates will face.
Much like any kind of business opportunities, you’ll need an endless stream of prospects in order to prosper.
Selling energy services alone to friends and family members isn’t going to help you build a successful business.
Sooner or later, you’ll run out of people to contact…
Then, what do you do? Do you start canvassing on the streets or buy leads from unverified sources, and start cold calling?
This is where most people fail, because they just couldn’t find ways to progress with their business.
That’s why I suggest if you choose to join Stream Energy as an associate, you should learn about attraction marketing.
Building the Right Team
To be successful in Stream Energy, it is all about the team work.
If you are able to find and recruit the right people into your Stream Energy business organization…
And, every team member works towards a common goal, everyone will benefit from this business opportunity.
Unfortunately, it is easier said than done.
Most of the time, the wrong people are recruited to be a part of the Stream Energy business, and that is why you see so many complaints flying around.
To be honest, this business is a tough nut to crack because the turnover rate is extremely high…
And, you’d constantly need to find the time and energy to train and coach new recruits to get them up to speed.
When someone leaves, you will always need to find a replacement and start all over again.
You’d definitely find it unrewarding to coach people who eventually leaves the business.
Finding the right associates to join your business organization is important…
And, that’s why you should learn how to attract the right people to your business with attraction marketing.
Having the Right Mindset
If you are expecting to earn money from this business opportunity right away, you’ll be in for a shock.
The truth about the amount of time and effort put into this business to make it a success will probably scare you away.
If you don’t have the right mentality, you are just setting yourself up for failure.
The problem with the Stream Energy business opportunity is that many people were recruited into the business with the wrong expectations.
And, when people didn’t get what they were “promised”, they start calling it a scam.
The sad fact is that, this business opportunity is a tough business, being rejected is a norm, among many other obstacles to overcome…
The majority of the Stream associates quit in the face of adversity.
So, if you are not comfortable to be in the sales environment, or you don’t aspire to grow as a salesperson, you shouldn’t be a Stream associate.
You should find other opportunities instead.

And, you will be able to earn money each month based on those customers’ Stream bills.
How much can you earn from a customer…
When you successfully sold a service, you’ll receive a bonus of $100 for your first three customers enrolled, $500 for your first 10 and $500 for your first 15.
On top of that, you’ll be able to receive a cut of the commission on each of your customers monthly bills.

If you recruit new associates, you’ll similarly receive recruitment bonuses from Stream.
But, what makes this option especially powerful is that you will also make money from these associates’ customers.
This goes up to five levels deep. So, you can recruit three associates who each recruit three other associates, who will recruit their three associates.
If you’re able to build a successful network of associates, you can bring in a lot of money with very little maintenance. But building a network is easier said than done.
