A Walk-through of Google Sniper
I have previously written a review on Google Sniper 1.0 and now I am here to review the updated version of it, Google Sniper 2.0. I stand firm on my decision that Google Sniper deserves a negative rating, however, I have pushed its rating up by 2, from 3 thumbs down to 1 thumb down.
The reason for me doing that was because the original Google Sniper program was a flop and now it have added some useful materials to the program that makes it almost legit. The reasons for Google Sniper still having a negative rating are because of its hyped video at its front, some outdated contents and its complicated pricing model which I have covered in my previous review.
Before I dive right in to Google Sniper 2.0 review, I would just like you to know that I am not those people who would give you a review without actually trying the product. I bought into Google Sniper 2.0 and literally spent hours going through each and every one of the training videos so that I can provide you with an in-depth review.
So with that being said, I guess you are now curious as to what the Google Sniper 2.0 system really is. One thing you need to know is that, Google Sniper System is not exactly a plug and play system that will generate instant money for you (like what it was advertised), and the “Sniper Sites” are basically wordpress sites with exact match keyword domain names.
Do Google Sniper course teach you anything? Yes, but…
Let me go through each part of Google Sniper with you. Below you will see a process map I’ve downloaded from the Google Sniper member’s area. At least after seeing this, you will get a pretty good idea of what Google Sniper is before you pay $47 and sign up blindly:
Google Sniper Course: Part One
Find the main keyword and a product to promote related to it and Register your domain
The main component of Part One is basically to select a product from clickbank (a digital product marketplace) you want to sell with the help of cbengine.com and then research on low hanging fruit keyword (Keywords with low competition) that relates to the product you want to sell. This portion itself takes a long time, 90 mins and let me tell you why.
Google sniper itself do not provide any form of tools that makes your life easy, it teaches you the hard way to find a suitable keyword. It teaches you to use Google Keyword Tool which is now called “Google Keyword Planner”. Google Keyword Planner is not exactly a user friendly tool, there are a few steps you need to do in order to get accurate information.
First, you have to select the “Phrase” button as shown below. You cannot use “Broad” or “Exact” because you will not get accurate information.
Second, note that the “competition” column as shown below is not a gauge for the number of websites competing for the keyword, it shows you the competition for people who are paying Google to promote their sites on the particular keyword (Pay Per Click). Basically, that column is useless.
So with that being said, the second step is to select a keyword that meet the following criteria:
- Keyword that is up trending (from the “local search trends” column)
- Keyword that have between 2000 to 5000 monthly searches (from the “Global Monthly Searches” column) – right after George Brown gives you a guide (2000 to 5000) he when on to select a keyword that have 12000 searches and says it meets the criteria (it’s confusing)
Third, you will need to perform a “sniff test” by clicking on the selected keyword and add ” ” to the keyword as shown below. This way you can see how many competitors you have for the particular keyword. In the case below, the total competition is 85,500.
George Brown went on to tell you that 85,500 competition is too high (he is right on this one) and you should select a keyword which has lower than 20,000 competition (he is absolutely wrong on this). It is really difficult to compete with 20,000 websites for good rankings on Google, this is unless your website’s content is so unique and amazing the Google gives you credit for it.
A good low hanging fruit keyword should have less than 300 competitors, this way you have a better chance of survival on the internet. Although it is really difficult to find a keyword with such low competition in a highly competitive niche, you really have to be creative and redefine your keyword search and target a more specific niche.
The remaining of Part One
The feeling I got from Google Sniper is that the remaining portion of Part One is not at all important. Google Sniper do not seem to put strong focus on content creation. What you really need to know is that content creation is the nuts and bolts of online marketing.
It seems that part one of the Google Sniper course only cover content creation in mere 25 mins. I applaud George Brown that such an important topic like content creation can be taught within 25 mins. (Clap Sarcastically)
Google rank articles based on the quality and the readability of your contents. I personally feel that there should be an entire course focusing on building contents rather than just skimming through the gist of it.
Google Sniper Course: Part Two, Three and Four
You must note that although the structure of the Google Sniper program is pieced out nicely for you in the PDF, the video lessons in the Google Sniper Course do not follow step by step like what it is shown below. It is all jumbled up together with other videos and I would really suggest that you do not to follow the video courses as you will get lost.
The program flow as shown above is actually quite neat and easy to follow, but the video course do not assist you in any way to follow the program flow. Let me show you exactly what is in the original Google Sniper video course:
If I were a beginner with no experience whatsoever, I would definitely feel that Google Sniper 1.0 is giving me a lot of useful information. However, you must know that most of the contents in the video course series as shown above are outdated. My first advice to you is to skip the entire Google Sniper 1.0 video series.
Skipping the entire original Google Sniper course basically mean that this program is not for beginners. Beginners need to start their success journey on the right foot. Selecting a online marketing course is important and crucial. If you are a beginner with no experience at all, I would suggest that you stay away from Google Sniper.
The Google Sniper 2.0 – the reason for the better rating
My reviews up till now has been about the original Google Sniper 1.0 course. What I want to share with you now is the extension of the original Google Sniper course, Google Sniper 2.0. The reason why I feel Google Sniper deserve a better rating.
Right after Google introduced Google Panda (Google Search Engine Algorithm update), the original Google sniper course was useless. George Brown knew it and he quickly tagged team with another Internet marketer name Anthony to produce new video training series that tackles the problems and clarify doubts for existing Google Sniper members.
The video series course created by Anthony have many valuable information that any Internet Marketer may need. The picture below shows you a summary of things you can expect to learn:
Google Sniper 2.0 focus a lot on backlinkings, you will understand what are “Do Follow Links” and what are “No Follow Links”, and Anthony will share with you where you can find blogs that have “Do Follow links”. Now I know it may be confusing for you if you are a beginner, however, as I said, this part of the program is not for you if you are totally new to Internet Marketing.
I would also like to clarify a doubt that have been on a lot of people’s mind. “Is Backlinking still a viable strategy?” Yes! It is at this moment, however, backlinking will lose its credibility in the future but not now. I have included a video below from Matt Cutts sharing with you on backlinkings and whether is it still a viable strategy.
For people who do not know who Matt Cutts is, he is Google’s software engineer since January 2000 and currently the head of Google’s Webspam team. So his words are as good as it is.
So with that being said, if you are an advanced Internet Marketer or have some knowledge on Internet Marketing, I would definitely recommend you to check Google Sniper 2.0 out here. There is really no harm trying out because the free trial is only one dollar and you get many good information.
Just a word of caution, you should not expect Google Sniper to provide you with good support. If you have questions or you want to clarify something with Google Sniper, you are on your own. I’ve tried the support and I haven’t gotten a response till now.
My bad login experience
Before you proceed on to join Google Sniper, I would first like to share with you my horrible login experience. This way you can avoid the same agony as I did and enjoy the benefits of the program. I am embarrassed to say that up till today I have not receive my username and password. It may be something wrong with my email. I have even tried contacting George Brown’s support team and I still have not gotten any response.
After your purchase of the trial, you will be hit with an upsell. Skip past that and you will get into the member’s area. BEWARE: once you log out of Google Sniper, you probably won’t be able to login again. When you try to login, you will be told that your email is not in their database.
I was so ready and excited to go through the course and now I am set back because I can’t log back into the member’s area.
I’ve tried many different ways to login but I won’t bore you with the details. Let me go straight to the point and tell you how you can login.
When you first purchase Google Sniper, you will receive an email receipt from Clickbank which looks like this.
Click on the “access your digital products” and you will go through the same upsell videos and all, just skip right pass them and you will be in the member’s area.
My advice to You
If you are a beginner and do not have any experience at all in Internet marketing, I would suggest that you stay away from Google Sniper 2.0. You will probably get more confused and lost. I would suggest that you check out my #1 online business course that is suitable for all beginners and advanced internet marketers. This is the place I learn how to make money online.
